Ive used this app multiple times a day for the past year and a half, on two different carriers and three different devices. Its an exercise in absurdity and lousy user experiences. If you havent had problems yet, just wait.
In audio, the app doesnt keep your place when running in the background. If you pause the reading to answer a call or do anything else, woe betide you.
It will occasionally play some kind of screechy, distorted version of the audio. And theres the "no audio at all when playing" bug. Earbuds, Bluetooth, built in speaker all work for other audio - but not for the book at any volume. The solution? Reinstall.
The newest bug has been regular crashing, inability to access network (wifi and cellular) and inability to access library credentials. Sometimes this happens mid-commute, when Im listening on my way to work. Again? The solution is to reinstall.
Im tied to the app, though, unfortunately. Its the only option my library offers.
